I am Speaking: SQLSaturday #61 Washington DC

4 December 2010

SQLSaturday61 Logo On Saturday 4 December 2010 I’ll be leading my most popular workshop Database Design Contentious Issues at the Washington DC SQL Saturday.

Database Design Contentious Issues

A highly interactive and popular session where attendees evaluate the options and best practices of common and advanced design issues, such as:

* Natural vs. Surrogate keys

* Classwords and other Naming Standards

* Varchar Minimums

* Identity Crisis

* Who Calls the Shots and Who Does What? …and others.

Bring your votes, your debates, and your opinions.

SQLSaturday Events are free.  They are great networking opportunities and prize-filled fun.  Matt Velic has a great post on #SQLSat61 how to get there, what to expect, etc.  He even mentions the Mason-Dixon Line.

Come out and learn how to Love Your Data.

  • Dang! I totally missed any word of this event, and now they seem to be full, so I won’t be seeing you tomorrow. Will you be at the one in Philadelphia in March, Karen?

    • I don’t know for sure…it all depends on whether or not I’m chosen as a speaker. Perhaps I’ll be speaking at a DAMA Chapter nearby at some point.

      These SQLSaturdays “sell” out fast. I do blog and tweet about my speaking events usually around the time I am booked.
